About the Job...
Team Leaders are responsible for making sure that our guest rooms are sparkling clean,
comfortable and ready for our guests! The ability to develop and mentor a well-functioning team of Room Attendants from a largely
inexperienced staff is a key part of this job. This position is one of greater responsibility and requires knowledge of hotel/motel housekeeping
procedures.
Team Leaders wear uniforms provided by the company. Employees may choose to wear clean, untorn, unpatched, unadorned blue jeans in a traditional fit (no loose pants).
Employees must provide leather, close-toed shoes.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the Housekeeping Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that our guests receive the utmost in
service and courtesy!
Comply with established Housekeeping policies and procedures.
Assist your Housekeeping Manager with in-service training
and retraining when requested.
Provide supervision of Room Attendants to ensure that
guest rooms are cleaned and serviced properly and on time.
Communicate with your Housekeeping Manager or
Assistant on Room Attendant progress and problems.
Report ready rooms to your Housekeeping office promptly.
Enter rooms on computer system promptly.
Able to clean full list of guest rooms, if needed.
Maintain working knowledge of cleaning supplies used
in your department as learned in training. Enforce the
correct use of cleaning supplies by RA.
Make sure assigned storage areas are kept clean and
organized and that equipment is always clean and in
good working condition.
Report maintenance, safety and any hazardous conditions
to your Housekeeping Manager.
Assist other team members in daily linen counts.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Organizational skills
Ability to follow instructions accurately
Physical requirements include:
Able to lead staff in a.m. stretching exercises
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Able to make beds
Standing for long periods of time
Bending and kneeling
Stretching and reaching
Frequent lifting and carrying of supplies and linens
Pushing a hotel cart or cabin cart up to 75-100 pounds
Frequent walking up and down staircases and in outdoor areas
Working with required chemicals |
