For Room Attendants in Yellowstone National Park, it's all about being part a team and caring about the comfort of our guests! They are responsible for cleaning guest rooms and making them comfortable and inviting!

Room Attendants wear uniforms provided by the company. Employees may choose to wear clean, untorn, unpatched, unadorned blue jeans in a traditional fit (no loose pants). Employees must provide close-toed shoes. Housekeeping staff assigned to cabin areas will be working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Under Xanterra's Room Attendant Program, Room Attendants in the Housekeeping department have an opportunity to make up to $1.75 more per hour for each hour worked that day, depending on the number of rooms they complete, the time in which they finish their assigned duties and an overall positive review on initial performance evaluations.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports to the Team Leader of the assigned area and to the Housekeeping Managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide guests with the best in service, courtesy and care!
  • Clean and prepare guest rooms.
  • Comply with procedures for chemical use and room cleaning systems.
  • Comply with housekeeping policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Ecologix environmental policies and procedures.
  • Work safely to avoid injuries and accidents including wearing proper personal
        protective equipment.
  • Report unsafe conditions and maintenance concerns to the Team Leader.
  • Assist with maintaining cleanliness in linen rooms.
  • Complete daily linen counts.
  • Maintain Room Attendant cart and related equipment.
  • Assist with other housekeeping duties as assigned by the Team Leader.

  •     Physical requirements include:
        Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
        Able to make beds
        Standing for long periods of time
        Bending and kneeling
        Stretching and reaching
        Able to make beds, strip rooms and clean toilets
        Able to complete a rooms list (14-18 rooms)
        Able to push/pull 50 to 75 pounds
        Working with required chemicals
